Your certificates will be closed after three wrong PIN entries. If you forget your PIN-codes, you will not be able to use your card any longer for authentication or digital signatures.
If the PIN is blocked, you will see a message in the ID-card utility together with the details of the blocked certificate. Click on the button Revoke blocking and follow the instructions on the screen:
- The revocation window will open.
- Enter PUK code.
- Enter new PIN code twice. PIN codes must only include numbers. PIN1 must be 4-12 digits long; PIN2 must be 5-12 digits.
- If everything is successful, a corresponding message will be displayed. Otherwise follow instructions in error messages until the code change is successful.
If you enter an incorrect PUK code three times, it will also be locked and it cannot be unblocked on your own. You need to order a new e-residency card.
